After their mother’s death, three estranged siblings are reunited to determine the fate of her legacy - the WOKING PHOENIX - their decaying, family-owned Chinese restaurant in small-town Ontario. A story about generational love, legacy, and immigration, WOKING PHOENIX weaves together text, movement, and music to explore two decades of memories.
Will the siblings save the restaurant or watch it fall into ruin?
*Woking Phoenix is currently in development under Theatre Passe Muraille as their Company-In-Residence for their 2020-2021 season and is supported by the Canada Council for the Arts.
